We came to Santiago from a tiring journey but without mishaps. It's not a wealthy and cosmopolitan city like London, but immediately we get the impression of friendliness and strenuous of the Chilean people. Often we ask where is a place and many people offer to go take us there just for the genuine desire to help and, sometimes, even two or three people stop to give their opinion, which sometimes is hilarious.
Sadly, another thing is a reference symbol of Santiago... the pollution. Because it's in a valley surrounded by mountains, the city is constantly covered by a blanket of smoke (smog). When we try to breathe and we have always clogged nostrils.
